Expert meeting at De Monsterkamer, Amsterdam
Very many of us make pictures all the time. Some use expensive equipment, many don’t and just use their phones. Most of these images are mere registrations of moments in our lives or digital notes of things we need to remember. So what they look like, what their expression is, is of little importance. We leave that to the in camera software.
But what if it does matter what the exact expression of your image is? Then we can’t leave it to something we ourselves don’t control. We need to turn this image into the exact atmosphere and expression we want it to be. How to do this effectively, within your own style?
In my practise as a image developer, lithographer and book producer and as a lecturer digital workflow at the photography department of the Royal Academy of art in The Hague, I work with professional photographers and aspiring professionals on precisely this. Many of this results in photobooks and art books I work on. In this expert meeting I’d like to share with you some of my strong believes about establishing effective communication with your audience and give you some basic ideas on how to apply them easily.
