The Magazine

The Raw View magazine was a non profit magazine made by an exceptional group of professionals, writers, journalists, photo editors, graphic designers and translators working on a volunteer basis. In addition to the editorial staff, the magazine is also aided by a team of ten international professionals. All motivated to work on a magazine they all thought was important to make and have out there.
All the makers of the magazine were connected by a passion for photography and photographers. This magazine was meant to create a community and a place for photographers to publish their visionary photo series with an artistic approach.

The Process

This issue was the first special edition of Raw View and it is called "Dear Larry". The entire magazine is devoted to photographers carrying the name Larry. Even the currated section of the magazine, which is done by people who don't carry the name Larry, are connected to the theme. Their names are variations on the name Larry.

Raw View stopped as a magazine in 2016. Instead they decided to start as a photo book publisher under the same name, Raw View Editions, and with the same ideals. I was proudly part of the dedicated team that helped make the magazine. My job was make reproductions of the images. One of the Larry's mentioned to another member of the team that he had never had his work presented on paper this well. A job well done, I'd say!

I'm also happy to say that I have worked on some of Raw View Edition's books al ready.
